Palmerstown is a much sought-after suburb of Dublin approximately 8 km from Dublin’s city centre. With a current population of more than 11,000, it is a popular commuter village with excellent transport connections (Dublin Bus provides multiple routes to and from the town and it is located near Park West & Cherry Orchard rail station) and it is just off major road networks such as the M50 and N4. There are multiple primary schools in Palmerstown, with a selection of all-boys, all-girls and mixed schools. There is a wide selection of shops and supermarkets in the village and it is situated very near Liffey Valley, one of Dublin’s premier shopping centres. Local amenities include pubs, restaurants, churches, parks, banks and fuel stations. There are several sports clubs in the locality, with offerings including GAA and soccer.
